DOMO VarioSlide and DOMO Excellence
With the new generation of synthetic grass fields,
synthetic grass has become a valuable alternative
for natural grass.
This artificial grass has long polyethylene fibres (40 a 60mm)
and is filled with sand and rubber granules. Slidings are without risk
of burns and ball bumps and rolls as on natural grass.
The Domo Sports Systems products embody all advantages
listed above and constitute an ideal solution for a high quality
sporting infrastructure.
In the mid '90s the soccer community began to be aware of the many
advantages of artificial grass. By now, third-generation artificial grass
pitches have been developed for soccer and rugby.
The density of the artificial grass carpet has become lower and the length
of the yarns longer. The artificial grass yarns are made from polyethylene
(to prevent burn wounds as a result of slidings). The carpet is filled with
sand (for stability) and rubber (for elasticity and suitability for slidings).
DOMO VarioSlide / DOMO Excellence is the most innovative product
currently available on the market and was installed in 2003 at KV Club Brugge.
This unique quality product is referred to as the fourth generation of artificial grass.
The Club Brugge pitch is the first FIFA Recommended pitch in Belgium.
DOMO VarioSlide / DOMO Excellence offers a unique yarn combination
consisting of intertwined fibrillated and monofilament fibres in one knot or
tuft. Like this the advantages of both fibres are combined in one artificial
grass carpet: The monofilament fibre gives a better coverage of the rubberinfill
and is very resistant to wear, and with the fibrillated fibre you have less
bouncing of the rubberinfill and less compaction of the sand. The yarn combination
is manufactured from 100% polyethylene so the artificial grass is suitable for
sliding and tackling.
This sand&rubber filled quality has been developed
according to the traditional Qualitynorms of Domo.

The product can be played on within a temperature
range of 0°C up 40°C under dry and wet conditions.
The synthetic pitch can also be used under frost.
The product has been installed at Schiedam, The Netherlands
whereby the field passed succesfully the FIFA tests and
is therefore a FIFA recommended pitch.
